Andrews Cup Netball

Today, 27 August, Carter was selected to participate in the Andrews Cup Netball Tournament held in Coorparoo, QLD.  She has only played netball for about a month but was actually selected to be on the "A" team...yeah Carter!!    Carter played GK - Goal Keeper.   Luckily, they have the letters on a penny that goes over their shirt.   It is a very confusing game.....some say similar to basketball EXCEPT that you canNOT dribble and canNOT move when you have the ball (except for pivot) and you must stay 3 meters away from someone if they have the ball...???     They played 6 very tough games.   Out of the 10 schools participating in Andrews Cup, St. Aidan's came in 7th.   All about the experience!!

Lady Gaga

On 24 August, Kennedy attended a Celebrity Dinner.  She was instructed to dress as Lady Gaga. Luckily, we had 3 weeks to plan.  If you know Kennedy, we needed every minute!!   We had to work on the dress but more importantly, we had to practice the lightning bolt over the eye!   In the end, we were all pleased with the result!!   Several other celebs attended including, Nicky Minja, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Keisha and many more!    

StoryBook Character Day

It was Book Week at St. Aidan's!   Several activities were held throughout the week including author visits, book competitions and on Wednesday, it was dress up day.

 Kennedy and her friend, Prue, went as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Suess.

Taylor was Fern from Charlotte's Web.

Carter was Emily Elizabeth from Clifford, The Big Red Dog.

On 18 August, Carter attended her first boy/girl party.  Carter's friend, Jess Wilkie has a twin brother, Jack.  For their 12th birthday, the parents held a big party in a hall right up the road.  Jess and Jack were both allowed to invite 20 friends.   There was a lot of music, disco lights, food and fun!   Carter had a blast and Dad survived!!
