Cross Country Carnival

The girls all participated in the Cross Country Carnival today at Ambiwerra (the sports complex for St Aidan’s).   This is where the “Houses” compete against one another.   Nightingale came in SECOND!!!   Yeah!!  All the girls will have on Green!

The girls all did amazing!!   

Carter came in 7th in her age group, Kennedy came in 10th, and Taylor 6th!   This means that they were all selected for the Andrews Cup Team to compete against other schools. 

Andrews Cup Swim

Taylor was part of the swim squad for St Aidan’s to compete against other schools at the Seelman Complex in Chandler.  The facility was amazing.   It was a 50 meter pool that was divided by a removable bridge.   It is where most of the Olympic Swimmers and Divers in Queensland train.

St Aidan’s came in 3rd for the percentage cup.   Go St Aidan’s!!  

Year 5 Reader's Cup

Reader’s Cup is a competition held at St Aidan’s where girls form groups of 4 and they read 6 books.   At the competition, questions are asked about the books and the group with the highest score wins.    Kennedy, Molly, Mackenzie and Isabella formed the Pinkettes.   Even though they did not win, I think they deserved an award for Best Dressed!!!  It was a fun evening!!

Moreton Bay Swim Meet

Taylor was selected as part of the Andrews Cup Swim Squad.  The squad travelled to Moreton Bay College for a practice meet on 10 March.   I took Taylor and her friend Georgia.   It was quite an exhausting day!!

Andrews Cup Tennis

Andrews Cup Tennis was held on 8 March at University of Queensland.  Andrews Cup is a competition held in many sports amongst 10 All Girl schools in the Brisbane area.  It is a select team from each school.  Carter & Kennedy both made the team at St Aidan’s.   Carter’s group came in 3rd and Kennedy’s 4th.   However, St Aidan’s, as a whole, took home the big trophy b/c our A and B groups won first place....so, all combined, St Aidan’s won!!

Year 7 Eucharist

The Year 7 Eucharist was held on 6 March at the Christine Hartland Centre.   A special service was held for the Year 7 girls, all of whom are taking on special leadership roles during this year.   Each girl was presented with a Year 7 badge and a name badge.   Very special evening for Carter Jean!!
